About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform hands-on business analysis by understanding client business needs and transforming them into detailed functional requirements
  • Collaborate with solution architects, product and program managers, business users and other stakeholders
  • Deliver business analysis outputs, including business and functional requirements
  • Develop requirements artifacts and communicate analysis deliverables with Agile teams
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to the company’s strategic roadmap
  • Support and potentially lead other business analysts
  • Elicit, analyze, document and obtain sign-off on functional and business requirements
  • Analyze current and future client business processes and perform gap analysis against EIS Suite™ capabilities
  • Collaborate with Agile teams throughout the project lifecycle to drive EIS Suite™ implementation
  • Own analysis activities for a business domain, including iteration planning and reporting status, risks and issues
  • Collaborate daily with architects and developers and assist with solution design for complex requirements
  • Educate Product Owners and clients on the implementation process and EIS Suite™ capabilities
  • Promote business analysis ethics and practices within the team and company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Programmer-Analyst in large or medium IT implementations of enterprise software applications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience owning business analysis activities of a domain or analysis area in platform implementations
  • Comprehensive understanding of and experience working in an Agile environment
  • Applied knowledge of SDLC and software development methodologies
  • Experience with requirements management tools
  • Understanding of SQL and relational database principles
  • Experience analyzing business processes and using BABOK techniques, including Use Cases, User Stories and Flow Diagrams
  • Excellent planning, communication, documentation, organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Preferred experience managing other business analysts in at least one end-to-end implementation project
  • Preferred experience with object, process or data modeling and object-oriented application development
  • Preferred experience in Insurance or Financial Domain
  • Preferred CBAP certification
  • Valid working permit in Japan required
  • Occasional travel availability, up to 30%
