About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute toward a team covering one or more client relationships
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Statement of Investments, Statement of Operations, Statement of Cash Flows, and Notes to Financial Statements
  • Prepare accurate and complete general ledger and work paper files, including capital activity, investment activity, income, and expense accruals
  • Prepare Partner Capital reports including Partner P&L
  • Calculate monthly interest accruals, management fees, and capital allocations
  • Calculate capital call and distribution notices, sources/uses of cash, and investor notices
  • Reconcile cash balances daily for multiple accounts
  • Calculate quarter-end final and estimated NAVs
  • Support the year-end audit process with the team, client, and auditors
  • Train and mentor junior staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required
  • 3+ years of experience in fund accounting and/or assurance serving Financial Services clients
  • Hedge funds, private equity, or other alternative asset managers experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience at a public accounting firm preferred
  • CPA or parts passed towards completion preferred
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field preferred
  • Experience using Yardi and/or MRI preferred
