About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, optimize, and industrialize gas and electricity pricing models (spot, forward, and regulatory components) as the team’s technical expert
Manage the structuring of the product portfolio: determine the balance between secured fixed-price contracts and exposure to variable markets, in line with Ekwateur’s risk appetite
Automate and ensure the reliability of the monthly P&L consolidation and B2C pricing process
Monitor regulatory developments relating to gas, including CPB, Biomethane GO, and ETS2
Contribute to defining pricing requirements for the deployment of the new ETRM, in collaboration with Caprikorn
Train, document, and share the methodologies developed with the entire team
Review gas and electricity market positions and update pricing models
Lead offer review meetings with internal stakeholders
Collaborate with Caprikorn on ETRM requirements
Contribute to the gradual structuring of the portfolio and definition of requirements for the new ETRM

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven expertise in gas pricing, including spot markets, forward markets, and regulatory components
Strong experience in electricity pricing, with expertise in both gas and electricity and the ability to work independently across both energy markets
In-depth knowledge of CPB, Biomethane GO, and ETS2 mechanisms
Experience in portfolio management, including P&L monitoring, offer structuring, and balancing spot-market exposure against fixed-price hedging
Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and automation, with the ability to build robust, maintainable tools
At least 5 years of experience in pricing and structuring within the energy sector
Python or SQL skills for tool automation would be a plus
Experience with an ETRM system would be a plus
