About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
- Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence
- Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques
- Teach patients and families to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics
- Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
- 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, OR reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
