About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and optimize queries, stored procedures, views, and routines in SQL Server
Analyze query performance and optimize queries using indexes, execution plans, and database best practices
Analyze C#/.NET code to understand business rules, execution flows, and database interactions
Investigate failures, inconsistencies, and information discrepancies, identifying whether their source lies in the application, database, or processed data
Handle support tickets related to the Database and Reports modules
Create, adjust, and maintain queries and procedures for data extraction, processing, and consolidation
Perform testing and validation, and support user acceptance testing processes for implemented solutions
Document analyses, business rules, technical procedures, and adopted solutions
Support users and internal teams in analyzing and resolving data- and report-related issues
Contribute to the continuous improvement of information performance, quality, and governance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Database Management, or related fields
Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, CTEs, window functions, and temporary tables
Knowledge of query optimization, index creation, and execution plan interpretation
Knowledge of relational modeling, data integrity, transactions, and error handling
Knowledge of C# and .NET for code analysis, debugging, and understanding business rules
Experience investigating incidents and resolving database- and application-related issues
Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Visual Studio
Experience testing and validating data and reports
Ability to independently manage moderately complex assignments
Strong technical documentation and communication skills when working with users and technical teams
Preferred: experience with SSRS, Report Builder, or other reporting tools
Preferred: knowledge of SQL Server Agent and scheduled jobs
Preferred: familiarity with Git
Preferred: experience supporting enterprise systems
Preferred: experience providing technical support to users and analyzing business requirements
Preferred: knowledge of system integrations and processing large volumes of data
