About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and organise video footage, assets and archives
  • Organise and label rushes
  • Sync multiple cameras and audio sources into sync maps
  • Assemble timelines at the start of an edit
  • Create short edits for sponsor sections
  • Source B-Roll footage
  • Use tools to create transcripts or other reference files accompanying raw footage
  • Work closely with editors to support them with B-roll footage
  • Insert graphics and replace holders with final A-Roll
  • Stay up-to-date with video editing software and techniques
  • Report to the in-house Editor
  • Support in-house and freelance editors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of experience in edit assisting or junior editing, with an emphasis on digital content creation and experience with YouTube
  • Proficiency in video editing software Adobe Premiere and the Creative Cloud
  • A strong understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms and how to optimise content for those platforms
  • A passion for physics and science
  • Good attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Previous experience working with science material is desirable
