About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Safely operate reactors, mixers, pumps, and other production machinery according to SOPs
Monitor temperature, pressure, flow rates, and other process parameters
Take samples, conduct basic quality tests, and report deviations or abnormalities
Load and unload raw materials, transfer batches, and package finished goods
Maintain clean, organized work areas compliant with housekeeping standards
Use PPE and follow chemical handling and safety procedures
Assist with minor equipment adjustments and report issues to maintenance teams
Complete production logs, batch records, and shift handovers accurately
Support day-to-day chemical manufacturing operations and compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment is preferred
Basic knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment operation
Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE use, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSHH)
Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment
Understanding of quality control principles and product consistency
Ability to accurately complete production records and follow written procedures
Capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions
High school diploma or equivalent
Vocational training or certifications in chemical processing or manufacturing are a plus
