About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain the highest standards of safety in laboratory and related activities
- Research, develop, and formulate new surface treatment products for printed circuit board, molded interconnect, connector, and IC substrate industries
- Develop a basic understanding of patents and literature for new resin systems, chemistry, and polymers
- Help develop presentations and reports distilling complex ideas into precise results and proposals
- Participate in workgroup meetings addressing safety, process improvement, problem-solving, departments, and active topics
- Receive mentoring from senior scientists and technologists
- Communicate and appropriately document work
- Follow applicable organizational policies and laws
- Present a professional attitude and manage confidential information
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA degree in inorganic or electrochemistry, Polymer/material science, or related field
- 3+ years technical research experience
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of both physical and chemical analysis
- R&D instrumental labs and working in a research laboratory are preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking ability
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and evolving project scopes
- Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
- Ability to understand and follow EH&S standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines
