About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct routine and advanced chemical analysis of plating baths, including additives, contaminants, and metal concentration
Conduct physical and microstructural analysis of PCB samples, including cross-section analysis, thickness measurement, surface morphology, and defect investigation
Support process troubleshooting and failure analysis by identifying root causes related to plating chemistry or process conditions
Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment, including ICP, HPLC, XRF, SEM, and elongation equipment
Develop and optimize analytical methods and testing procedures
Prepare and deliver technical reports summarizing analytical results, trends, and recommendations
Collaborate with application engineers and customers on product development, qualification, and process optimization
Ensure laboratory safety, quality standards, and documentation compliance
Provide technical support for customer samples, pilot runs, and troubleshooting cases, including data interpretation and solution recommendations
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve analytical capability, laboratory efficiency, and data quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands
Good written and spoken English language skills
Knowledge of chemical analysis of plating solutions and physical analysis of PCB samples
Experience or knowledge of titration, spectroscopy, chromatography, ICP, HPLC, XRF, SEM, and elongation analysis
Ability to conduct cross-section analysis, thickness measurement, surface morphology analysis, and defect investigation
Ability to maintain and calibrate analytical equipment
Ability to develop and optimize analytical methods and testing procedures
Ability to prepare technical reports and interpret analytical data
