About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day engineering support for Printed Circuit Board fabricators using MacDermid Alpha's chemical processes
- Provide customers with on-site process expertise, chemical change implementation, monitoring, and hands-on process control assistance for printed circuit board manufacture
- Explain PCB chemical functions and related process requirements to customers
- Perform regular health checks and process audits at customer sites, generate reports, and review them with end users
- Assist with lab testing functions and analysis with customer lab personnel
- Provide training on best-practice functions, tests, and analysis when necessary
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment or process problems and provide hands-on support to correct problems and optimize manufacturing processes
- Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies
- Coordinate daily activities with the territory Account Manager and Business Director
- Serve as an expert and steward for customer final product quality using MacDermid products
- Identify growth opportunities at customer locations
- Assist with monitoring and control of on-hand inventory at customer sites
- Perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree in chemistry or related field
- Strong understanding of chemistry and chemical interaction within the PCB manufacturing process
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and periodically to accounts in North America Eastern Region
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the overall PCB business and specifics in wet processing areas
- Strong track record of navigating technically through complex organizations
- Timely responses to the customer base, both in communication and on-site visits
- Six Sigma knowledge would be good but not required; company training available
