Afterhours Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide 24/7 Behavioral Health and Employee Assistance services to approximately 10 million lives
- Support the Employee Assistance Program service department by responding to initial customer contacts and requests for services
- Receive client requests, assess situations, and determine appropriate courses of action
- Provide telephone and/or on-site support for crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution, and referral to appropriate providers
- Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests
- Assess members and assist them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits available under their health plans
- Manage the shared mailbox used by clients and external vendors to forward information for review and placement in the documentation system
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor, as allowed by applicable state laws, in applicable state(s)
- Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s), unless accommodation is granted as required by law
- MA/MS preferred
- EAP experience preferred
- Previous call center experience nice to have
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination may be required for certain patient/member-facing roles
