About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ship, evaluate, secure, and support production-quality software systems
Develop agentic AI engineering technology
Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Codex-style agents across the SDLC
Perform model evaluation and quality measurement
Develop business requirements with internal and external stakeholders
Analyze and classify complex change requests and document system code enhancements
Apply responsible AI, data privacy, and secure handling of sensitive information
Collaborate with engineers and graphic designers on system enhancements
Define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and technical specifications
Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements
Drive product and analytics requirements that address stakeholder needs
Identify problems and risks
Code and maintain complex information-system components
Mentor others on coding standards and perform code reviews
Review test cases and advise QA on adjacent-code and regression impact
Develop and perform system testing, fix defects, and re-execute unit tests
Integrate activities with other IT departments for implementation and project support
Provide on-call support, monitor systems, and identify system deficiencies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Not eligible for current or future visa sponsorship
BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study
Minimum of 3 years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with healthcare, payer, claims, clinical, HIPAA, PHI, regulated industry, or enterprise security experience
Strong software engineering fundamentals including cloud-native development, APIs and microservices, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure SDLC
Experience building or integrating AI agents, tool/function calling, RAG, memory, model routing, evaluations, guardrails, observability, and secure API/tool access
Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and its Runtime, Memory, Identity, Gateway, Code Interpreter, Browser Tool, Observability, Evaluations, and Policy capabilities
Experience building LLM or SLM applications
Ability to review, test, and harden AI-generated code
Production support experience
