About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide 24/7 Behavioral Health and Employee Assistance services to approximately 10 million lives
  • Respond to initial customer contacts and requests for EAP services
  • Receive client requests, assess situations, and determine appropriate courses of action
  • Provide telephone and/or on-site crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution, and referrals
  • Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests
  • Assess members and help them access behavioral healthcare benefits under their health plans
  • Manage the shared mailbox and review and place forwarded information into the documentation system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
  • Current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor, as allowed by applicable state laws, in applicable state(s)
  • Work Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm EST, with flexibility to work 11:30am–8pm
  • In-person training sessions are required
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location(s), unless accommodation is granted as required by law
  • MA/MS preferred
  • Inpatient/outpatient behavioral health experience preferred
  • Previous call center experience nice to have
  • New candidates in certain patient/member-facing roles must become vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza, subject to applicable exceptions
