About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Integrate cyber defense and security operations capabilities into enterprise and subsidiary cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI
- Partner with cloud infrastructure and application teams to enable, validate, and operate security controls, logging, and telemetry
- Ensure appropriate logging is enabled across application, platform, and engineering environments
- Define the roadmap and strategy for cloud cyber defense, including CSPM, threat detection, logging pipelines, and incident response integration
- Develop cloud threat monitoring use cases and train SOC analysts to triage, investigate, and remediate alerts
- Investigate complex cloud security events and support remediation with security operations and incident response teams
- Introduce automation and AI-driven capabilities into cloud threat management operations
- Evaluate, select, and onboard security technologies with vendors
- Design cloud architectures compliant with FedRAMP and other regulatory requirements to support new business
- Contribute to governance reviews for cloud services, AI-enabled platforms, and SaaS offerings
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advise executive leadership on cloud security
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Draft business-level presentations for executive and stakeholder support
- Develop policies, technical standards, and foundational documentation
- Validate cloud security controls, collect evidence, and support regulatory and audit initiatives aligned with SOC2, PCI, HITRUST, and FedRAMP
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA in Information Technology or related field of study
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people
- Experience with multiple technical and business disciplines
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
- Cloud security certifications such as CCSP or CSP-specific security certifications preferred
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure preferred
- Ability to work within a reasonable commuting distance of a posting location, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
