About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take inbound calls, texts, and chats from individuals needing support, services, or who may be in crisis
- Perform safety screenings and assessments to determine the presence and acuity of risk to the individual or others
- Use caller information and screening/assessment results to understand needs and develop a plan of action collaboratively
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of interactions according to established criteria
- Provide linkage follow-up to ensure individuals accessed services
- Coordinate with agencies, organizations, and individuals to optimize use of resources, services, and natural support systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in required in-person training sessions; training is Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm EST
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health
- OR a minimum of 6 months of direct crisis experience including screenings and assessments to determine appropriate interventions
- OR any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
- Must reside in the state of Georgia
- Must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s), unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
- BS/BA degree in a mental health or other human services field and two years of experience working directly with individuals in need of behavioral health services strongly preferred
- Call Center experience preferred
- Crisis experience preferred
- Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
- New candidates in certain patient/member-facing roles may be required to become vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza
