About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead threat intelligence, detection engineering, threat hunting, and phishing resiliency functions
  • Translate the external threat landscape and internal telemetry into measurable risk reduction
  • Build, mentor, and retain a multidisciplinary cybersecurity team
  • Advise executives on the threat landscape, detection posture, and risk-based prioritization
  • Partner with privacy, legal, law enforcement, intelligence community, and intelligence-sharing organizations
  • Direct the enterprise Cyber Threat Intelligence program, strategy, requirements, and operating model
  • Oversee analysis and reporting on adversary tactics, techniques, procedures, threat actors, and emerging threats
  • Set the strategy and operating model for threat intelligence, threat hunting, and AI-enabled detection engineering
  • Drive zero-trust cyber defense through visualization, correlation, and analytics
  • Manage vendors and external intelligence-sharing partnerships
  • Own the detection engineering lifecycle from hypothesis through deployment, tuning, and deprecation
  • Map detections to MITRE ATT&CK and real-world threat feeds
  • Drive purple-team and red-team exercises with attack-surface management and red teams
  • Integrate automation and AI capabilities with the AI SOC
  • Establish team OKRs aligned to business risk, security priorities, and industry frameworks
  • Govern adoption of agentic security solutions with safety, auditability, human-in-the-loop controls, and measurable value
  • Communicate complex threats and trends to executives and business stakeholders through verbal briefings and written threat intelligence reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience evaluating and operationalizing agentic (AI-driven) security solutions is strongly preferred
  • Seven years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years leading CTI, detection engineering, or security operations team is preferred
  • Deep familiarity with SOC technologies, threat intelligence, and adversary emulation technologies and practices is strongly preferred
  • Extensive and deep knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS frameworks is preferred
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing technical teams, scaling security programs, and driving cross-functional cyber debt and risk reduction is strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage geographically diverse associates and vendor partners is strongly preferred
  • Must work within a reasonable commuting distance of a posting location unless an accommodation is granted
