Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain applications and systems on medium or semi-complex technology platforms
Write correct and clean code while following best practices
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements
Analyze and classify semi-complex change requests
Identify and document possible system code enhancements
Participate in developing application scope and objectives
Prepare functional and technical specifications
Partner with designers and web team members to apply marketing-focused content
Code and maintain semi-complex information-system components
Develop and perform system testing
Fix defects and re-execute unit tests to validate results
Integrate with other IT departments for successful implementation and project support
Identify problems or issues in requirements
Provide on-call support and monitor systems for semi-complex issues
Facilitate small-group design sessions and code reviews
Participate in vendor evaluation

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 1 year experience on one platform
Ability to write correct and clean code with limited guidance
Knowledge of application, system development and maintenance
Experience analyzing and classifying semi-complex change requests
Experience preparing functional and/or technical specifications
Experience coding and maintaining semi-complex information-system components
Experience developing and performing system testing and fixing defects
Understanding of testing best practices
Experience integrating with other IT departments
Ability to provide on-call support and monitor systems
Preferred: multi-database, multi-language or multi-business application experience
Preferred: hands-on experience in AI, data and streaming
Preferred: experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud and Azure
Preferred: applied AI experience and end-to-end enterprise AI solution deployment
May be subject to additional background checks, government clearances, training, monitoring and sensitive-data handling requirements for Government Business Division roles
