About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide patient care within scope of practice in the clinical setting
- Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies and procedures
- Complete the admission process as directed by the Center Director
- Perform physical assessments on patients and new consults as warranted by diagnosis
- Document pertinent data in patients’ medical records
- Report significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follow up on identified problems
- Communicate patient status and observations with IV team members
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations
- Evaluate patients’ responses to therapy and document findings
- Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plans
- Participate in the Quality Improvement program
- Ensure medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date before treatment
- Provide clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA
- Support new market launches as needed
- Travel extensively to worksites and other locations as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires an MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience with IV's required
- Current, active, valid and unrestricted NP license to practice as a healthcare professional within the scope of license in applicable state required
- Requires active, current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position
- Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver
- Ability to obtain credentialing with major payors in the market including Medicare/Medicaid preferred
- Experience with IV insertion and maintenance strongly preferred
- Port, PICC, and Peripheral Line experience preferred
- Infusion reaction management experience preferred
- Titration experience preferred
- Medication mixing and infusion experience preferred
- Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
- New candidates in certain patient/member-facing roles are required to become vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza, unless an acceptable explanation is provided
