About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver strategic network security, access control, and secure transaction/messaging solutions
- Ensure technology-based security solutions are well-conceived, designed, and implemented in compliance with enterprise standards
- Maintain enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and infrastructure elements
- Provide first-level engineering design and trouble resolution, including technical escalation for complex problems
- Lead or plan implementations for access management and network security technologies
- Develop testing plans to ensure implementation quality
- Lead investigation and reporting of data security events and incidents
- Provide system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies
- Support business and technology associates in risk assessments and implementation of information security procedures, standards, and technologies
- Maintain security incident response plans
- Represent major upgrades and business system replacements in change control
- Oversee enterprise mix of vendor services and help set vendor strategy
- Recommend changes and updates to security strategy
- Design and engineer repeatable technical solutions based on business requirements and technology standards
- Develop support procedures and performance metric reports
- Lead Level 1 and Level 2 incident recoveries and root-cause analysis
- Organize analyst efforts during incident recovery when needed
- Design, develop, tune, and maintain security detections, correlation rules, and behavioral analytics
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment, testing, and validation of detection content
- Collaborate with CSOC, Fraud, Threat Intelligence, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to enhance monitoring capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in systems support, system administration, system engineering, system security, access management, network security, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, and/or data; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
- Requires experience in planning and designing highly complex systems
- Requires capability to provide top-tier support for 4 or more information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets
- Experience with multiple technical and business disciplines strongly preferred
- CISSP or other technical security certifications strongly preferred
- SIEM, EDR, UEBA, and fraud analytics platforms experience preferred
- Detection engineering and security analytics experience preferred
- Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies experience preferred
- CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation experience preferred
- Machine learning concepts, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics for cybersecurity use cases experience preferred
- Experience with security automation and orchestration technologies
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from a posting location unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
