About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and define reference infrastructure architectures and components
Prepare business cases, secure funding, and drive implementation of new technologies based on business value and ROI
Own the platform architecture vision and contribute to Enterprise Architecture
Lead construction of infrastructure architecture components
Define business and IT recovery operating environments
Develop and maintain the enterprise Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID architecture roadmap
Design scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available identity solutions
Lead identity modernization initiatives including tiered administration, hybrid identity, cloud adoption, and directory consolidation
Establish architectural standards, governance models, and operational frameworks
Support identity integration for mergers and acquisitions
Partner with IAM teams to implement and enforce enterprise identity standards
Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineering and operations teams
Lead major incident response and root cause analysis for identity-related services
Conduct security assessments, audits, and remediation activities
Support security and compliance initiatives
Develop PowerShell automation and scripting solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
Communicate with stakeholders and deliver executive-level presentations

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines
Reside within commuting distance of an Elevance Health Pulse Point office location
Expertise in Active Directory, including forest and domain architecture, OU design, GPOs, LDAP, trust relationships, PKI, federation, Kerberos, tiered administration, directory replication, resiliency, and operational health
Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, including Entra Connect, Cloud Sync, PIM, privileged access management, JIT administration, Zero Trust, MFA, and Conditional Access
Experience with security assessments, audits, remediation, SOX, HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR compliance
PowerShell automation and scripting experience
Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
Ability to communicate with stakeholders and deliver executive-level presentations
