Key responsibilities & impact

Provide administrative support to the pharmacy investigative unit
Research data to assist in identifying potential overpayment or abuse cases
Collect, research, and validate bills and claims data against relevant guidelines
Assist in preparing statistical and financial analysis reports
Respond to state and law enforcement requests for information
Request medical records and additional documentation required for investigations
Complete initial file setup and track cases
Work with vendors to provide case status and updates
Process and track incoming reimbursement checks
Assist in managing fraud hotline calls
Provide administrative support for investigative management and staff

What you’ll need

HS diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, retail pharmacy and/or Medicaid, or equivalent combination of education and experience
One year or more of MS Excel experience working with large data files and other general reporting tools preferred
Experience in health insurance or law enforcement highly preferred
Pharmacy technician license and/or pharmacy experience preferred
Experience with formulary, clinical rules, pharmacy claims analysis, and/or prior authorization for a pharmacy benefit manager or health plan strongly preferred
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, in a professional and legal environment strongly preferred
Ability to work Monday–Friday, with a flexible start and end time for an 8-hour shift
Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a posting location unless accommodation is granted by law
