About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide provider relations and network management consulting support to complex, high-profile provider organizations
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to other consultants
  • Support the ACCESS for Adults program
  • Lead behavioral health provider engagement, community partnership development, resource coordination, and referral network collaboration throughout Connecticut
  • Develop network recruitment and retention strategies to maintain high-quality contracted providers
  • Identify, research, and analyze professional provider practice patterns and develop improvement recommendations
  • Conduct provider outreach and engagement
  • Develop community partnerships
  • Deliver educational presentations
  • Promote available resources
  • Coordinate referral networks
  • Conduct community outreach and network development activities throughout Connecticut, including rural communities
  • Collaborate with behavioral health providers, primary care practices, community organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen referral networks, increase program awareness, and improve access to behavioral health services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must reside in the state of Connecticut
  • Requires a BA/BS degree
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in provider network management, utilization management or another health care field
  • Any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
  • Experience in community engagement, systems of care development, provider outreach, and resource coordination
  • Experience conducting provider education, presentations, community outreach, conferences, or exhibit activities
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, public health, human services, or a related field is preferred
  • Clinical licensure in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field is preferred
  • Knowledge of Connecticut behavioral health resources, community-based organizations, and systems of care is preferred
  • Monday through Friday availability, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST
  • Must be able to travel throughout Connecticut, including rural communities
