About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize the client base and strengthen existing relationships within a set territory
- Achieve defined sales targets and demonstrate strong understanding of relevant disease states
- Achieve sales of new accounts while maintaining relationships with existing accounts
- Maintain sales effectiveness within the assigned territory
- Use databases and other tools to identify key accounts and maximize referral potential
- Develop and foster account relationships and maintain and document a call cycle
- Build and extend relationships with pharmaceutical counterparts and maintain internal partnership
- Support all specialty pharmacy activity
- Partner with the leadership team to formulate and execute business objectives
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and similar events
- Communicate competitor information, territory issues, business threats, and relevant information to the leadership team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare industry; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- Ideal candidates will reside in Oklahoma
- Comfortable traveling up to 60% of the time throughout Oklahoma, with some travel within Kansas and Arkansas
- Experience in Gastroenterology, Dermatology, and/or Rheumatology highly preferred
- Willingness to travel strongly preferred
- Understanding of specialty pharmacy strongly preferred
- Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s), unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
- Certain patient/member-facing roles require vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza, unless an acceptable explanation is provided
