About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish relationships with functional teams across the organization
  • Handle complex, high-priority business questions and issues
  • Assist in building new client relationships
  • Lead and implement business improvement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and profitability
  • Coach project teams on tools for assessing people, process, and systems performance
  • Partner with regional Six Sigma and TQM process improvement initiatives
  • Leverage common initiatives, eliminate duplication, and ensure enterprise alignment
  • Establish and monitor metrics and measurements
  • Teach managers to use tools to manage their environments and sustain improvement gains
  • Establish cross-organizational relationships that generate engagements
  • Develop adopted practices that improve communications, results measurement, and engagement management
  • Travel to worksites and other locations as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Requires Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or an equivalent quality certification; Green Belt certification may be considered
  • Significant consulting experience or an engineering degree is required
  • BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years in management or management consulting, business development, large scale project management, line operations with P/L responsibility, or process improvement leadership; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
  • Requires Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent training/consultant experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Experience at Project Leader, Manager, or Associate Principal level within a national consulting firm strongly preferred
  • Experience leading major projects at the SLT level of management strongly preferred
  • Experience coaching and mentoring project analysts strongly preferred
  • Significant ROI contributions as a leader on numerous concurrent projects strongly preferred
  • Advanced analytical skills for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to evaluate business improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar data querying tools is a plus
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from a posting location unless accommodation is granted
  • Ability to travel to worksites and other locations as necessary
