About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide effective individual, family, and group psychotherapy
  • Complete clinical documentation within 24–48 hours of services
  • Work with clients to determine realistic psychotherapy goals
  • Participate in supervision toward licensure
  • Assess patient needs and devise and implement treatment
  • Provide parent, staff, and caregiver training
  • Coordinate services with other professionals
  • Conduct initial psycho-diagnostic assessments
  • Develop and implement collaborative treatment plans
  • Perform ongoing clinical assessments of progress, treatment effectiveness, barriers, and recommendations
  • Conduct crisis assessments and provide appropriate interventions
  • Prepare and present progress reports in multidisciplinary team settings
  • Provide care and care coordination to achieve optimal health outcomes
  • Integrate behavioral health and medical care while complying with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Attend staff and program meetings, conferences, and training
  • Cooperate with leadership on special projects
  • Maintain confidential clinical case information and HIPAA-compliant treatment records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related mental health field
  • Master’s level degree from an accredited college or university
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • License to practice in the State of Illinois or Indiana (LMFT, LPC, LSW, LCPC, LCSW) or licensure eligible
  • License-eligible individuals must apply for licensure within 60 days of becoming eligible, per state guidelines
  • Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in clinical practice and business operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide appropriate in-office (face-to-face) and telehealth (audio and visual) services
  • Skilled at establishing and maintaining positive and effective work relationships
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify at least 30 hours in the schedule to provide therapy services
  • Typical start time: 9 AM (varies)
  • Typical end time: 7 PM (varies)
