About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and optimize the financial controlling framework for Utilities
Manage infrastructure and capital projects
Serve as primary architect for SAP CO and SAP PS integration
Ensure accurate capture, tracking, and settlement of project budgets, operational overheads, asset lifecycle costs, and regulatory accounting
Configure and maintain SAP CO modules, including Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA) and Internal Orders (CO-IO), for utility operational models
Architect and configure end-to-end integration between Project Systems and Controlling
Design and execute allocation cycles, labor assessment cycles, and activity type pricing structures
Integrate with WFS, Concur, and other systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5-8 years of functional experience in SAP CO (Controlling), with at least 3 years focused heavily on SAP PS integration and project-driven environments
Proven hands-on experience in the Utilities sector (Power, Water, Gas, Telecom, or large-scale infrastructure construction)
In-depth knowledge of SAP CO sub-modules, WBS element financial configurations, settlement rules, statistical key figures, and integration points linking PS, CO, FI, and MM
Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA environments
Participation in at least 2 full lifecycle implementations or major financial transformation upgrades
