About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and own Eliza's Office of the CISO security practice
Own the practice P&L, revenue target, pricing, packaging, and service offerings
Define service lines across security assessments, red, blue, and purple team work, and security training
Set practice strategy with the CEO and manage pipeline and revenue targets
Represent the practice to CISOs and security leaders, run executive briefings, and close engagements
Build thought leadership through talks, briefings, workshops, and perspectives on AI and security
Own the OpenAI security partnership and convert partner leads into funded engagements
Meet partnership capability standards by running security work on Eliza's platform
Hire and lead security engineers and consultants and scale the delivery organization
Build repeatable delivery methods, evidence standards, and engagement quality standards
Remain hands-on in code, findings, and client engagements
Own Eliza's internal security program, policies, and security posture
Define security approaches for composable, adaptive AI software
Apply lessons from securing Eliza's platform to client services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current or recent experience operating as a VP or equivalent security executive
Experience building a services business, security consultancy, or managed or delivery services organization, including owning revenue
Credibility with CISOs as a peer, including with Fortune 500 security leaders
Deep technical roots, including reading code and understanding modern application and cloud infrastructure security
Daily use of AI tools for threat research, code review, and security work
Track record of thought leadership through speaking, writing, advising, or teaching
Habit of owning outcomes and building from zero with a revenue target and no playbook
Willingness to travel frequently for client and partner meetings
Experience in high-stakes or highly regulated environments such as financial services, national security, defense, or critical infrastructure
Background in offensive security, red teaming, or security research
Experience at a security services or penetration testing firm, or building a security practice inside a consulting firm
Firsthand experience leading an organization through a major security incident
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
