About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Launch and lead psychological testing at the practice
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults
- Assess ADHD, autism spectrum, learning disabilities, mood, and personality
- Select, administer, score, and interpret cognitive, achievement, personality, and diagnostic instruments
- Write clear, timely integrated reports with practical recommendations
- Hold feedback sessions with clients and families
- Consult with therapists on referrals, diagnostic questions, and treatment planning
- Build the testing program, including the test library, intake and referral workflow, and report templates
- Supervise psychometrists or doctoral trainees as the program grows
- Maintain documentation compliance with New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners rules and payer requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
- Active, unrestricted license as a psychologist in New Jersey, or eligible for licensure by start date
- Training and supervised experience in psychological assessment, including test selection, administration, interpretation, and report writing
- Proficiency with core instruments, including WAIS, WISC, WIAT, MMPI-3, PAI, and ADOS-2
- Strong clinical writing skills
- Ability to explain results in plain language
- Preferred: experience in an outpatient group practice
- Preferred: neuropsychological, forensic, or custody evaluation experience
- Preferred: familiarity with insurance billing for testing codes 96130–96139 and prior authorizations
- Preferred: bilingual in Spanish or another language spoken in the communities served
