About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate mental health diagnoses and create and implement treatment plans
- Complete ongoing documentation, including further diagnoses, treatment plan reviews, and case notes, according to company policy
- Provide excellent customer service for clients
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in the community
- Utilize creative interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
- Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session according to company guidelines and protocol
- Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
- Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings and trainings
- Build a clinical caseload aligned with clinical interests and specialties
- Provide outpatient mental health services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or another qualifying behavioral health field
- Virginia clinical license or eligible provisional/resident/supervisee status, as applicable
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse client population
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care
- Experience in outpatient mental health is preferred
- Established clinical specialty or willingness to develop one is a bonus
- Ability to collaborate with other therapists
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team
- Comfort working with children, adolescents, couples, families, or other high-demand populations is a bonus
- Afternoon/evening availability is a bonus
