About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day revenue cycle workflows across multiple locations
  • Manage follow-up with the offshore billing team
  • Monitor accounts receivable, aging, denials, rejected claims, coordination of benefits, patient balances, and unresolved billing issues
  • Track open items, owners, deadlines, and next steps through resolution
  • Coordinate billing concerns raised by clinicians, patients, and internal teams
  • Escalate delayed or recurring problems as needed
  • Prepare recurring billing, payroll, and operational reports for leadership
  • Coordinate across billing, clinical leadership, patient access, credentialing, payroll, vendors, and other teams
  • Research operational issues and organize information for decision-making
  • Support special projects, new processes, system implementations, new locations, medication management, psychological testing, and other business initiatives
  • Provide proactive updates on outstanding issues, team performance, and operational concerns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep work moving independently
  • Proactive communication with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Comfortable following up with others and holding team members accountable
  • Strong problem-solving, research, Excel, reporting, and data skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and workflows quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable handling confidential patient, employee, financial, and business information
  • Prior healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, or healthcare operations experience preferred
  • Experience with offshore teams, multi-location healthcare, behavioral health, EMRs, CRMs, or payroll systems is a plus
  • Ability to work from the Bethesda, MD office at least two days per week
