About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as primary system administrator and liaison to SolutionHealth IT staff for Elliot Health System’s electronic occurrence reporting system.
- Provide support for key computer systems and applications within the Legal and Compliance Departments.
- Monitor software systems and data integrity and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
- Liaise between vendors and SolutionHealth/EHS IT to complete report-writing requests and ensure intranet functionality.
- Train new and existing system and application users with the RN Risk Management Coordinator.
- Assist staff with access issues, questions, and reporting requests.
- Build new system functionality under the guidance of clinical departments.
- Ensure the system is available for staff to enter events and troubleshoot downtime or system failures.
- Update and maintain manually uploaded databases containing staff, provider, medication, and other user information.
- Monitor events to help department staff resolve them on time.
- Design, support, and update internal web pages as requested by the Director.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree or background in computer science preferred.
- Experience providing IT support, preferably in healthcare, required.
- Two (2) years' experience in healthcare risk or quality departments preferred.
- Two (2) years’ IT programming or computer operations experience preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Understands system designs and process application flows required.
- Proficient with database programs, table management or other relevant applications required.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of supported systems preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools and applications.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills required.
- Gives attention to detail and follows up on outstanding issues.
- Good communication and telephone skills.
- Previous experience with healthcare electronic risk reporting applications preferred.
