About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver expert accounting and financial support to buy-side clients and assist in enhancing finance functions for acquired entities
  • Provide sell-side accounting and finance advisory services throughout transaction processes
  • Lead interim finance leadership and post-close 100-day integration activities
  • Convert to accrual accounting and establish opening balance sheets
  • Expedite month-end close and prepare reporting packages
  • Build out FP&A and prepare for first-year audits
  • Build internal finance teams and analyze opportunities to better utilize technology
  • Lead multiple finance transformation engagements and oversee accounting, FP&A, and technology workstreams
  • Implement accounting processes, policies, and procedures to address financial information gaps
  • Develop client business understanding, identify performance improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions
  • Own client relationships, engagement economics, and resource management
  • Identify new client pursuits and develop proposal and thought leadership content
  • Collaborate with acquired-entity personnel, client teams, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Ensure deliverables meet deadlines and firm quality standards
  • Oversee staff scheduling and budget management
  • Create a collaborative team environment and coach and develop team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of public accounting, operational finance leadership (Senior Accountant, Manager, Controller, Director), and/or M&A experience
  • Ideally has worked for / with PE portfolio and other high-growth companies
  • Experience transforming a finance function to be a strategic partner throughout the business
  • High level comprehension of accounting principles coupled with ability to effectively communicate
  • Experience implementing BI tools and interest in utilizing AI
  • Experience hiring, developing and leading a finance team
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Effective time management skills
  • CPA Certification is a plus, but not required
