About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders
  • Analyse current and future state processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support business process re-engineering initiatives
  • Ensure solutions meet business requirements and strategic objectives
  • Own and manage product backlogs
  • Prioritise features, user stories, and enhancements based on business value
  • Clarify requirements and acceptance criteria with development teams
  • Operate within Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery environments
  • Collaborate with Delivery Leads to manage scope, risks, dependencies, and change requests
  • Ensure traceability from business requirements through solution delivery and testing
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off
  • Build relationships across business and technology functions
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Create and maintain Epics, Features, Stories, Tasks, and Defects in Jira
  • Manage and prioritise product backlogs using Jira
  • Document project artefacts in Confluence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst
  • Proven experience delivering projects within Agile, Hybrid delivery approaches and Waterfall methodologies
  • Proven expertise with Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and Confluence
  • Strong experience with business process modelling, gap analysis, and requirement traceability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead requirement efforts across multiple teams
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience managing product backlogs and prioritisation
  • Experience supporting UAT and business readiness activities
  • Must have the right to work permanently in the UK
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Must live in or within easy commuting distance of Oxford, or be willing to relocate
