About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and independently build a scalable AWS cloud architecture for the ELMI AI platform
Evaluate, further develop, and partially rebuild existing module prototypes to create a stable production-ready version
Integrate and process data from the energy management systems of EV charging stations and battery storage systems
Technically implement market analyses of nearby charging stations and automated dynamic pricing adjustments
Develop the logic and algorithms for optimizing the charging strategies of internal battery storage systems
Implement interfaces and trading logic for automated energy trading
Provide technical leadership to the development team, including the nearshore team
Conduct code reviews and make technology decisions
Contribute actively to the codebase during the critical build-out phase

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or Architect
Ideally, experience building a software product from an early stage
Proven experience independently building and operating AWS infrastructure
Hands-on coding experience despite working in architecture or leadership roles
Experience with software that controls distributed physical assets, such as IoT platforms, fleet or asset management systems, or smart grids
Experience with charging infrastructure, energy management systems (EMS), or energy trading is a plus, but not required
Experience providing technical leadership to remote/nearshore development teams
Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions appropriate to the company’s size
Fluent German
Very good English
Mandarin language skills are a major plus
