About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help shape and build a scalable AWS cloud architecture for the ELMI AI platform
Evaluate, further develop, and in some cases rebuild existing module prototypes
Develop a stable first production-ready version of the software platform
Connect and process data from the energy management systems of EV charging stations and battery storage systems
Technically implement market analyses of nearby charging stations and automated dynamic pricing adjustments
Develop logic and algorithms to optimize the recharging strategy for internal battery storage systems
Implement interfaces and trading logic for automated energy trading
Collaborate with the development team, including the nearshore team
Contribute to code reviews and technology decisions
Take a hands-on approach to coding and own modules from conception through operation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally including building a software product from an early stage
Demonstrated experience building and operating AWS infrastructure
Experience with software that controls distributed physical assets, such as IoT platforms, fleet or asset management systems, or smart grids
Experience collaborating with remote/nearshore development teams
Willingness to share knowledge with less experienced colleagues
Pragmatic approach to technical decisions and a focus on avoiding over-engineering
Fluent German
Very good English
Mandarin language skills are a major plus
Experience with charging infrastructure, EMS, or energy trading is a plus, but not required
