Key responsibilities & impact

Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the public API and upcoming frontier foundation models
Architect release strategy and developer experience for next-generation foundation models
Evaluate and prioritize the balance between horizontal developer infrastructure and vertical applications
Own pre-training and fine-tuning priorities from a product perspective
Drive alignment, evaluation, and rapid iterative deployment
Connect commercial teams with research scientists and core infrastructure engineers
Translate multimodal research capabilities into scalable developer primitives and production features
Align engineering sprints and compute resources with enterprise demand and adoption signals
Capture customer pain points, workflow bottlenecks, and enterprise feedback
Convert market signals into product features, tiered enterprise offerings, and monetization mechanisms
Participate in key customer conversations, prototype solutions, and establish enterprise playbooks
Shape the end-to-end developer experience
Build automated data flywheels and closed-loop feedback systems to improve model benchmarks
Balance model intelligence, inference latency, serving cost, and safety

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of product management experience
Proven track record owning ML products or model development lifecycles from concept to launch
Demonstrated ability to operate as a sole or founding PM in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments
Experience establishing product workflows and working directly with research scientists and core engineers
Strong technical and analytical mindset
Hands-on experience in model evaluation design, benchmark creation, data flywheels, and performance metrics
Proficiency in Python and SQL preferred
Ability to make prioritization decisions balancing model quality, inference speed, compute costs, and safety
Ability to build technical trust with research and engineering teams and translate complex model capabilities into product priorities and roadmaps
Multimodal, frontier AI, generative architecture, or foundation model development experience is nice to have
Founding product, founding team, early employee, or 0-to-1 incubation experience is nice to have
API, SDK, model serving infrastructure, or developer platform experience is nice to have
Ability to work from the Palo Alto office on a regular basis
