About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish system information requirements and design security architecture covering software, hardware, communications, present and future cross-functional requirements, and interfaces
- Ensure solutions comply with open systems architecture standards, applicable reference models, and Agency enterprise architecture
- Evaluate workflow, organizational, and planning problems and develop corrective actions
- Design and implement GitLab CI/CD security scanning, including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, secret detection, and security gates
- Generate OMB M-24-04 and SSDF attestation artifacts and SBOMs
- Convert Department and agency security settings into automated configuration management using tools such as Ansible within 6 months of award
- Build and maintain NIST CSF and Enterprise Security Metrics Dashboards using SIEM, IDS, CDM, GRC, and tool data
- Develop OSCAL-formatted control catalogs, baselines, SSPs, and assessment artifacts validated against the OSCAL schema
- Provide architecture reviews and technical solutions for vulnerability findings and security gaps
- Support GRC tool deployment, Zero Trust implementation, PQC inventory, and AI security assessments
- Collaborate with Government infrastructure teams on DevSecOps workflows and automated security configuration for on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Document automation in version-controlled repositories with runbooks for the COR and infrastructure team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree
- At least 5 years of enterprise security architecture, security engineering, and system administration experience
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination
- Ability to obtain a Government PIV card
- Must sign the Government Contractor Non-Disclosure Agreement and Government Rules of Behavior before receiving access to Government systems or data
- Must complete Government security awareness, privacy, and records management training before performing work and annually thereafter
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD security tooling, infrastructure/configuration as code, and AWS cloud security preferred
- GitLab, Ansible, and Power BI experience preferred
- Experience with NIST OSCAL, SSDF, SBOM, and federal DevSecOps programs preferred
