About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage, optimise and scale the company's cloud infrastructure on AWS
Ensure high availability, security and performance
Work closely with the development team to automate deployment pipelines and streamline software delivery
Design, build and maintain secure, scalable and resilient AWS infrastructure
Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code to automate resource provisioning
Build, optimise and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless code releases
Set up monitoring, logging and alerting to proactively catch and resolve production issues
Implement AWS security best practices, manage IAM roles and ensure data encryption at rest and in transit
Monitor cloud spend and implement cost-saving strategies such as right-sizing instances and using spot instances
Report to the Head of Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda)
Experience setting up pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline
Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration via AWS ECS or EKS (Kubernetes)
Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or Go for automation tasks
Deep understanding of Linux administration, networking concepts and security protocols
Experience managing and optimising MySQL or MariaDB relational databases
Active AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or SysOps Administrator certification
Experience with Ansible or Terraform
Familiarity with database management and SQL optimisation
Based in Limassol, Cyprus
