About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage 15 Azure Data Factory pipelines and rebuild ingestion using Fivetran / CDC or incremental extraction scripts
- Convert approximately 200 T-SQL stored procedures to Snowflake, with a lightweight Spark layer
- Use LLM tools to accelerate code translation and test creation
- Run parallel processes and reconcile data to ensure parity with current reporting
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to the UK team
- Participate in the migration of the UK analytics platform from Azure Synapse to Snowflake, Fivetran, and Airflow (MWAA)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong proficiency in Snowflake and Airflow
- Hands-on experience rewriting T-SQL / MS SQL stored procedures for Snowflake (SCD2, transactions, loops, MERGE)
- Recent experience using LLMs to translate code and generate tests as part of a migration project
- Strong understanding of incremental ingestion concepts (delta / watermark)
- Fluent English
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach
- Knowledge of Spark/PySpark, Fivetran, Azure Synapse, or Data Factory is a plus
