About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support testing, inspection, commissioning, and documentation of underground water and sewer utility systems on construction projects.
- Perform hydrostatic pressure testing on water mains, service lines, and related utility systems.
- Conduct chlorination and dechlorination of newly installed water systems.
- Collect and document water quality samples.
- Perform flushing operations before system commissioning.
- Conduct vacuum testing of manholes, structures, and sewer components.
- Perform low-pressure air testing of sanitary sewer lines.
- Complete mandrel testing to verify pipe installation compliance.
- Record, maintain, and submit testing results and project documentation.
- Identify deficiencies and communicate corrective actions.
- Assist with punch list and project closeout work.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, company policies, safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Travel between local job sites and occasionally to Oklahoma.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in underground utility construction, utility testing, water distribution systems, or sanitary sewer systems preferred.
- Knowledge of hydrostatic testing, chlorination, water sampling, flushing operations, air testing, vacuum testing, and mandrel testing preferred.
- Understanding of underground utility construction methods and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of confined space safety requirements and procedures preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and testing requirements.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a construction environment.
