About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set the technical direction for the frontend codebase and architecture as the first full-time Frontend Engineer
Build a foundation enabling high-quality frontend contributions at scale
Teach and mentor peers and serve as the go-to person for frontend topics
Explore how agentic user interfaces influence web development
Own the full product loop from discovery and hypothesis formation through shipping and measurement
Partner with Product Design to evolve the design system
Own complex, ambiguous projects, define requirements, navigate trade-offs and drive delivery
Build capabilities for Emigo, the company’s AI assistant, and ship agentic user interfaces
Prototype and develop new applications from zero to one
Maintain the component library, expand documentation and evangelize its use
Coach engineers on system architecture and web fundamentals
Improve tooling, processes and abstractions
Identify issues and turn them into actionable proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven track record of owning and driving impactful product initiatives end-to-end at a Senior / Staff level
Expertise in TypeScript
Deep expertise in scalable web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue or Svelte; React strongly preferred
Experience creating, maintaining and contributing to design systems or component libraries
Experience thriving in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities
Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment ideally demonstrable
Experience leveraging AI to accelerate product development
Fluent English (C1+)
Legal right to work in Germany or, for remote work, in a European country
Experience working on a B2B Software Platform
Experience working in a high-paced scale-up environment
Nice to have: climate/sustainability, construction tech, manufacturing or compliance domain knowledge
Nice to have: experience creating agentic user interfaces
Nice to have: strong UI/UX judgment and understanding of best practices and anti-patterns
