Communications Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute expertise to the development of Emmaüs Défi’s communications strategy, aligned with the organisation’s overall strategy
- Implement communications initiatives for the association’s various internal and external audiences
- Ensure Emmaüs Défi’s visibility and build its reputation among partners, donors, customers and referral partners
- Define communications objectives with the Director of Development and Communications
- Implement and monitor the communications strategy throughout the year
- Monitor the budget allocated to the various communications initiatives
- Lead the production of print and digital materials and content for customers, donors, partners, internal teams and employees in work-integration programmes
- Oversee the consistency of official communications materials
- Advise teams and coordinate or create materials highlighting their activities and impact
- Implement communications campaigns with a commercial focus
- Support customer satisfaction surveys and promote the organisation’s collection, sales and donation services
- Manage and support a work-study student responsible for content creation and social media management
- Organise, schedule and prioritise communications activities
- Engage interns or external service providers as needed
- Lead or contribute to the organisation of internal and external events
- Contribute to Emmaüs Défi’s public policy advocacy and campaigning activities
- Attend presentation meetings, inter-association working groups and representation activities
- Prepare employees for visits, interviews and other representation activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Higher education qualification—four- or five-year degree (equivalent to a bachelor’s or master’s degree)
- Degree from a communications or business school, or a university qualification
- Significant experience in a communications officer role or equivalent position required
- Strong interest in both social entrepreneurship—particularly employment integration—and environmental issues
- Proficiency in graphic design, desktop publishing, video editing and photo retouching software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
- Strong theoretical knowledge of all aspects of 360-degree communications
- Excellent writing skills
- Good knowledge of social media, traffic analytics tools (Google Analytics) and SEO optimisation
- Proficiency in, or good working knowledge of, SaaS email marketing solutions and CMS platforms
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Creative
- Pragmatic and adaptable
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Management and coaching skills
- Availability: As soon as possible
