About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Bring senior database administration experience deploying and managing databases supporting customer applications
Architect infrastructure and install/configure database software products across Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud database environments
Maintain database environments to meet availability and performance standards
Assist in scheduling deployment activity and new database installations
Develop security standards and ensure all databases meet ALTESS and Army security requirements
Develop and maintain database monitoring and administrative dashboards for proactive database management
Apply Cyber Command STIG processes and procedures
Perform Security Readiness Reviews (SRR)
Document findings in Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) documentation
Support mission-critical Army IT services across enterprise data centers and cloud-hosted environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in database administration and architecture
10–15 years relevant experience
Five or more years' experience with Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment
Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud database environments
Knowledge of database administration responsibilities
Ability to relate to customers in a professional manner
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of Python and PowerShell (preferred)
Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IAVM (preferred)
Ability to sit for long periods
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to ambulate throughout an office
Ability to ambulate between several buildings
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Ability to travel by land or air transportation 15%
