About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage a regional team of retirement advisers and/or counselors
  • Execute a regional growth strategy and business plan
  • Identify new business opportunities to maximize defined contribution plan participation, assets and savings rates
  • Improve participants’ diversification and wealth accumulation and distribution strategies
  • Maximize adoption and use of Empower products and services, including Managed Accounts through Empower Advisory Services
  • Foster safety, autonomy, accountability, support, coaching, feedback, high performance, engagement, learning and career development
  • Ensure consistent service models through Empower technology resources and counseling processes while following corporate policies and procedures
  • As Supervising Principal, track and monitor records to ensure regulatory and fiduciary compliance
  • Facilitate training on service activities, compliance requirements and corporate or industry policies and procedures
  • Build partnerships with regional personnel, plan sponsor representatives, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze and control expenditures within budget requirements
  • Participate in sales presentations with Regional Sales Directors and senior management
  • Perform duties inherent in a supervisory position

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 7–10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Understanding of management, training, coaching and leadership principles
  • General understanding of technology software and ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and learn new systems
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others, drive behavioral change and personal development, identify and execute strategies supporting organizational initiatives, and exceed corporate goals
  • FINRA 6, 63, 26 and 65 registrations required within established timelines; at least two registrations required for consideration
  • FINRA fingerprinting required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT, is unavailable
  • Reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a suitable home workspace required for remote work
  • Fiber, cable or DSL internet connection required
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services and defined contribution industries and associated products and services preferred
  • Financial services designation preferred (e.g. CFP, ChFC, CRC, CRPC) or ability to obtain one within the first year of employment
  • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding performance goals in prior roles
