About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape product strategy to improve the financial advisor experience
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap
  • Analyze advisor workflows, systems, data, and processes for simplification, consolidation, automation, and productivity improvements
  • Translate advisor and business needs into product outcomes and priorities
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams on constraints, dependencies, and tradeoffs
  • Use research, behavioral and operational data, feedback, and market insights to inform strategy
  • Influence leadership and cross-functional partners around product direction
  • Lead discovery and delivery teams, define requirements, manage dependencies and tradeoffs, obtain compliance and legal approvals, and drive milestones
  • Align products with Empower’s business goals, advisor needs, technology landscape, and competitive environment
  • Define and track success measures including advisor outcomes, adoption, operational efficiency, and product performance
  • Make product decisions using user insights, quantitative analysis, technical understanding, and iterative validation
  • Identify opportunities to simplify experiences, reduce complexity, and improve delivery and operational efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of product management experience leading meaningful products or capabilities and collaborating with engineering, design, research, and business teams
  • Strong product judgment and prioritization ability
  • Technical fluency in system interactions, data flows, integrations, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs
  • Ability to translate complex user, business, and technology problems into product priorities and requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using quantitative and qualitative data
  • Stakeholder management skills in a highly regulated environment
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and follow through
  • Appreciation for intuitive user experiences and simplifying complex workflows
