About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and analysis
- Develop and implement quality control systems
- Conduct inspections and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional, development, and business teams to address quality issues and understand business requirements
- Comprehend project goals and requirements, identifying gaps, omissions, and testing challenges
- Drive automation initiatives
- Develop and maintain test cases and report test results
- Create testing defect reports and track them to resolution
- Establish collaborative relationships to ensure successful project test phases
- Anticipate problems, forecast high-risk software areas, and drive resolution
- Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to management
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience
- Strong QA background in manual/functional testing
- Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations
- Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, and tools
- Exposure to security and performance testing preferred
- Strong SQL/Oracle query knowledge
- Experience preparing test plan and strategy documents
- Ability to gather and understand requirements
- Experience writing test cases and conducting requirements gathering
- Experience with web services testing
- Understanding of formal software test design techniques
- Ability to follow QA processes and standards
- Experience in functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing
- Experience creating defect reports and tracking them to resolution in a defect management tool
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong self-motivation, organization, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills, including conflict management, productivity improvement, hiring, and talent development
