Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and analysis
Develop and implement quality control systems
Conduct inspections and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues
Ensure compliance with industry standards
Comprehend project goals and requirements and identify gaps, omissions, and testing challenges
Drive automation initiatives using scripting languages, frameworks, and tools
Work closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements
Develop and maintain test cases and report test results
Create testing defect reports and track them to resolution in a defect management tool
Establish collaborative relationships with other teams to ensure successful project test phases
Anticipate software problems and high-risk areas and drive resolution
Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
4 to 6 years of software testing experience
Strong QA background in manual/functional testing
Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations
Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, and tools
Exposure to Security & Performance testing preferred
Ability to drive automation initiatives
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
Experience managing conflicts, increasing productivity, hiring, and growing talent
Experience working with development and business teams
Knowledge of SQL/Oracle queries
Experience preparing test plan and strategy documents
Ability to gather and understand requirements
Experience writing test cases
Experience in Web services testing
Understanding of formal software test design techniques
Ability to follow QA processes and standards
Experience in Functional, End-to-End, Regression, and Smoke Testing
Experience developing and maintaining test cases and reporting test results
Experience creating defect reports and tracking them to resolution in a defect management tool
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong self-motivation, organization, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify gaps, omissions, testing challenges, and impediments
Ability to establish collaborative relationships with other teams
Ability to anticipate problems, forecast software risk areas, and drive resolution
