About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and analysis
- Develop and implement quality control systems
- Conduct inspections and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Comprehend project goals and requirements and identify gaps, omissions, and testing impediments
- Drive automation initiatives
- Communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements with development and business teams
- Develop and maintain test cases and report test results
- Create testing defect reports and track them to resolution
- Establish collaborative relationships to support project test phases
- Anticipate software problems and high-risk areas and drive resolution
- Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience
- Strong QA background in manual/functional testing
- Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations
- Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, and tools
- Exposure to security and performance testing preferred
- Ability to drive automation initiatives
- People management and conflict management skills
- Experience working with development and business teams
- Knowledge of SQL/Oracle queries
- Experience preparing test plan and strategy documents
- Ability to gather and understand requirements
- Experience writing test cases
- Experience in web services testing
- Understanding of formal software test design techniques
- Ability to follow QA processes and standards
- Experience in functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing
- Experience developing and maintaining test cases and reporting test results
- Experience creating defect reports and tracking them to resolution in a defect management tool
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with other teams
- Ability to anticipate problems, forecast high-risk areas, and drive resolution
