About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, research, and develop stories across products, customers, employees, leadership, and brand initiatives
  • Translate complex financial wellness, wealth, and retirement topics into accessible narratives
  • Create and pitch concepts for video series, podcasts, executive storytelling, customer features, and branded content programs
  • Lead end-to-end multimedia production from concept through final publication
  • Conduct research, interviews, story development, scriptwriting, editorial planning, and content reviews
  • Coordinate production schedules, talent preparation, shoot logistics, recording sessions, and post-production workflows
  • Collaborate with internal creative teams and external production partners
  • Oversee editing workflows, fact-checking, stakeholder approvals, and final delivery
  • Produce recurring video and podcast content featuring executives, customers, industry experts, and subject matter experts
  • Prepare hosts, executives, and on-camera talent through interview preparation, scripting support, and storytelling guidance
  • Shape narratives across long-form and short-form formats
  • Develop platform-specific adaptations and promotional assets for social and digital channels
  • Apply journalistic principles to maintain authentic, credible storytelling
  • Ensure content meets editorial, legal, compliance, brand, and quality standards
  • Monitor storytelling trends, audience behaviors, podcast formats, creator-led media, and distribution practices
  • Align content strategies with organizational objectives and audience needs
  • Support recurring content franchises, executive-led storytelling series, and thought leadership programming
  • Contribute as an individual contributor without formal people leadership responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, Marketing, English, Film, Broadcasting, or a related field
  • 5–10+ years of experience in brand storytelling, editorial content, journalism, podcasting, video production, documentary-style content creation, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience producing video and/or podcast content from concept development through post-production
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, including script development, editorial planning, narrative structure, and interview content creation
  • Proven ability to interview executives, customers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Ability to simplify complex topics into accessible and audience-relevant content
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across creative, marketing, communications, legal, and executive teams
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Descript, Riverside, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with social-first storytelling principles and multi-platform content distribution strategies
  • Ability and willingness to appear on camera when business needs require
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Background in journalism, documentary filmmaking, editorial media, branded content, or related storytelling disciplines
