About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Refine the vision and roadmap for Empower’s digital brokerage experience across Stock Plan Services, existing brokerage capabilities, and the native Empower investing experience
- Define product strategy connecting Empower Personal Dashboard, OptionTrax, Pershing’s NetX Investor, and emerging native brokerage capabilities
- Identify opportunities to eliminate fragmentation across workplace equity, brokerage accounts, and customers’ broader financial lives
- Shape and build next-generation brokerage capabilities using customer expectations and best practices from digital investing platforms
- Own end-to-end experiences for stock plan participants, including equity awards, holdings, transactions, account experiences, and transitions into broader investing and wealth-building journeys
- Translate brokerage, equity compensation, operational, regulatory, and technology requirements into simple customer experiences
- Partner with engineering, design, research, operations, compliance, business teams, and external providers from discovery through launch and optimization
- Maintain ownership of the end customer experience while partnering with brokerage, clearing, custody, stock plan, and technology providers
- Conduct qualitative research, usability testing, behavioral analysis, competitive research, and direct customer feedback
- Define and track success measures across adoption, engagement, satisfaction, transaction behavior, asset retention and consolidation, and digital experience
- Use experimentation, analytics, rapid validation, and customer feedback to improve the product
- Manage the full product lifecycle from problem definition and strategy through requirements, prioritization, delivery, launch, measurement, and iteration
- Influence Empower’s longer-term investing strategy by identifying new capabilities and experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of product management experience, including significant experience building and leading complex digital consumer financial products
- Directly relevant experience with digital brokerage, Stock Plan Services, equity compensation, or investing products
- Strong understanding of customer journeys and infrastructure supporting brokerage and equity compensation experiences
- Experience designing digital experiences for stock plan participants, including familiarity with equity awards and the employee equity compensation lifecycle
- Strong understanding of brokerage customer experiences, including account opening, funding, positions and balances, trading, transactions, statements, servicing, and portfolio experiences
- Ability to simplify technically and operationally complex financial products into intuitive customer experiences
- Experience working across internal platforms and third-party providers
- Experience owning the full product lifecycle from customer discovery and product strategy through execution, launch, measurement, and optimization
- Strong product judgment and appreciation for excellent consumer product design
- Strong analytical skills using quantitative and qualitative insights
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong customer orientation and ability to solve complex customer and business problems
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable, including CPT/OPT
- Preferred: 3+ years of directly relevant Stock Plan Services, brokerage, or investing experience
- Preferred: experience with equity compensation products, direct-to-consumer brokerage, third-party brokerage infrastructure, regulated financial services, fintech, and emerging investing trends
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus
